Spring Walk Tours Downtown DuBois

May 24, 2019 at 3:04 AM

Twenty-seven people attended the DuBois Area Historical Society’s 11thAnnual Spring Walk. They were the first to complete the newly revised walking tour of downtown DuBois.

The tour featured 21 stops at buildings or locations, where the history or significance of the stops were explained. All of the information is included in the walking tour brochure prepared by the DuBois Area Historical Society and printed with the assistance of a grant from the Clearfield County Recreation and Tourism Authority.

The brochure updates the first walking tour brochure prepared in 2011 by the DuBois Area High School Pupil Enrichment Program and the DuBois Area Historical Society. That brochure was used for the Society’s 3rdAnnual Spring Walk. Late last year the Society decided to revise the brochure because of many changes in building usage during the last eight years.

Anyone interested in the walking tour brochure may pick one up at the DuBois Area Historical Society. The 2019 brochure and is available for viewing or printing at the home page.
