In a project approved and paid for prior to the problem with the roof and the furnace, a new computer system has been installed at the E. D. Reitz Museum.

The system will modernize the outdated system and computers being used by the DuBois Area Society. Four new computers were added featuring an external hard drive backup system, which should prevent the loss of any records and information maintained by the Society. All of the computers in the new set-up are networked.

Still to be added is the software program PastPerfect. It will be used to curate the items on display and in the collection of the DuBois Area Historical Society. PastPerfect is used by over 10,000 museums to help manage collections. It is capable of holding over one million catalog records.
