The DuBois Area Historical Society will begin its second quarter-century of operation with its 26th Annual Dinner, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. at the DuBois Senior Center.

To get its 26th year off to a familiar start, former DuBois Area Historical Society President Mike Mowrey will be the guest speaker reviving his poplar “Tombstone Art” program from over a decade ago.

In his presentation, Mowrey will show photos of elaborate, ornamental, and unusual, tombstones taken from cemeteries throughout the area and Western Pennsylvania.

Cost to attend the annual dinner is $16.50 for a sit down dinner that will include a choice of ham or turkey, whipped potatoes with gravy, corn, rolls and butter, and coffee or tea.

Reservations are due by January 28. Checks should be made payable to the DuBois Area Historical Society Inc. and mailed to P.O. Box 401, DuBois, Pa. 15801.
