The book is selling for $21.20 and is available for purchase at the DuBois Area Historical Society, 28 West Long Ave., DuBois, and at Shenkle’s Pharmacy, Kohlhepp’s Tru Value, Peaceable Kingdom, Rosie’s Book Store, Hockman Candy, Walden Books, and the Penn State Book Store, all in DuBois. Proceeds from the sale of the book benefit the efforts of the DuBois Area Historical Society Inc.

“The book will evoke many memories of the past for anyone who takes the time to read it,” said Evo Facchine, DuBois Area Historical Society President. “ Postcards were once quite popular for preserving scenes in a community and this publication features scenes from a wide area. Being published at this time of the year makes it an ideal Christmas gift for those living in the area and those who have moved away, who want to remember scenes from the past or learn about the past through post cards.”

The bulk of the work on the publication was completed by Society members Judy Leech and Audrey Lott with assistance from fellow members Todd Thompson, Dave and Nellie Beer, Beecher Klingensmith, and Evo Facchine. Providing post cards and other materials from their private collections for publication in this book were:  John Morgan, Linda Dixon, Robert DuBois, Marilyn Challingsworth, Edwin Brubaker, Shirley Clark, Mary Jo Pifer, Doris Fye Andrulonis, Cleora Bolam, Emma Miller, James and Jane Bonsall, Jean Hayes, Mona Cramer, Harold and Alice May Muth, Rick Sierzega, and Lenny Federici.
