2013 Calendar Recalls Fires/Fire Departments

The arrival of 2013 will mark the 125th Anniversary of DuBois Great Fire of 1888.
To observe that anniversary, the 2013 DuBois Area Historical Society Calendar will focus on fires, fire departments, and firemen. Each month will include information on fire action during that specific month and feature historical photos.
The sponsors for the 2013 calendar include: DuBois Area Catholic Schools, DuBois Business College, Hallstrom-Clark Electric Inc., Hayes Lubrication, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 5, J. A. Kohlhepp, Kiwanis Club of DuBois, Leo Nedza Funeral Home, Levenduski Construction, Peaceable Kingdom, Ralph Geer Funeral Home, S & T Bank and Willar’s Market.
Each calendar sales for $5. They make ideal Christmas gifts for current residents and those who have moved from the area. Look for them at the DuBois Area Historical Society, Kohlhepp’s True Value, Rosie’s Bookstore, and Way Office Supply.
